Sheds, Cabins and Outbuildings
The shed at the bottom of the garden is no longer just a place to store tools. They have become an institution, a domestic oasis for owners to see refuge, and increasingly an office space. The UK is often quoted as having more per capita than any other country, with two-thirds of people owning a shed.
But sheds are no longer rough-looking storage spaces. With their development to the shed we know now, they come in all shapes, sizes and types, from a simple shed to a garden office. The possibilities are endless.
With families needing more space and with the improvements made to their lifespan and how customisable they are, a garden cabin is an easy and cost-effective way to add a room to your house. From a playroom to an office, the options are endless.
Like all products, not all sheds and cabins are the same. Numerous finishes and qualities are available, so it’s essential to check that the shed you purchase fits your requirements. The development of plastic sheds offers maintenance-free options, but they also have their downsides. It’s important to check that your shed or cabin meets your needs.

We have a database of information from historic builds so we can accurately quote for your assembly. We can usually offer a fixed price for the project and give you a rough time scale. If this is agreed, we will setup a mutually agreeable appointment for the works to be carried out.
Most couriers offer a delivery to the room of your choice option so please bear this in mind when purchasing you item. We will require room to work in so please ensure you have a good space around the item to build and install it.
It is very important you check all the items required are delivered with no obvious defects, as when items are missing it will delay the build or may even cause your appointment to be cancelled if the build cannot take place.
On the day of installation, your booked assembler will arrive with everything required to carry out the assembly and installation of your new products. We endeavour to be on time but it’s always possible something might delay us. We will keep you updated with an ETA and if any issues should arise.
Your assembler will prefer to have the area to themselves to carry out the builds so that they can give it their full attention. Whilst you are welcome to chat to the assembler, they will be using tools that could cause injury, so we do ask that pets and children are kept out of the immediate area.
Our main service is the assembling and or dismantling of flat pack furniture and other flat pack items. We do not routinely fit items to walls, regardless of whether or not this is instructed in manufacturer’s guidelines.
However, we highly recommend that furniture is secured to walls to prevent from overspill in all instances. The responsibility of doing this lies with Customer on completion of assembly and in most instances the customer will sign a disclaimer agreeing to this on completion (though failure to sign the relevant form shall not imply that the responsibility lies elsewhere other than with the customer). Flat Pack Wezard recommends that customers source a qualified tradesperson to complete the fixing.
On the rare occasions that fixing to walls has been requested and agreed to, the customer is required to declare safe for drilling and confirm that no water pipes, electric cables (alive or not), satellite, internet, radio or any other cables that can be damaged lie behind the area that is to be drilled. Flat Pack Wezard will take no responsibility whatsoever for any damage caused to the walls itself or water pipes, electric cables (alive or not), satellite, internet, radio or any other cables that lie behind the area that is to be drilled and has been declared safe by customer before drilling and fixing is carried out.
Walls where by furniture fixing is requested must be flat and of suitable strength to hold the furniture requested to be secured there. If they are not, the customer will be liable to pay a minimum amount equivalent to the call-out charge and the charge due for the period of works undertaken to that point. This shall apply irrespective of the works having been booked by the customer or by someone acting on the customers behalf.
Unfortunately we are unable to take the rubbish away as our assemblers do not have the facility to dispose of trade waste. As a company, we do not have a trade waste licence so we cannot legally carry it in our vehicles. We will, however, do all we can to make it as easy as possible for you to dispose of the rubbish & packing materials.
Our assembly team will ensure that you are completely satisfied before they leave the site and will ask you to sign off the project. It is therefore essential that you are available when the installation has been completed. The assembler will guide you around the project to check it with you. Please take the time to inspect the product thoroughly. The team will ask you to sign the completion form to indicate that you are satisfied with the product and the build.
If you identify any issues that the team cannot rectify at the time, you should note these clearly on the form before the installation team leave your property. If there are any problems not noted at this point that later require a revisit to resolve, a call out fee will be charged for the revisit.
